Im Not Receiving My NERSP Email
I'm not receiving my NERSP email.
If this is the first time using your email software and you are not successful, carefully recheck your email settings. When trying to access email, you must type the username and password for your email account rather than the ones for your dialup or other connection access. Note that your NERSP password does not change, so if you have recently changed your NERDC dialup password, your NERSP password will remain at its original setting. Case is important when typing your username (should be lower case) and password (should be in the case you originally typed the password, usually lower case). Any setting that asks for your email address or return address should be in the format: userid @nersp.cns.ufl.edu
If you are not able to open a web browser and browse the web after connecting to the Internet, the problem may be a connectivity problem rather than an email problem. Check your dialup, DHNet or other connections.
If you can receive email but cannot send email, particularly if you see a message about "relaying denied", set the outgoing (or SMTP) mail server name in your software to the outgoing mail server provided by your Internet Service Provider. If you don't know the server name, contact your Internet Service Provider or refer to their web page.
You should check the status of the account by connecting to www.cns.ufl.edu/utils Select the NERINFO link. This allows you to see possible problems with your account that could affect your email It also displays your account administrator and their phone number.
If you cannot resolve your email problem speak to a Help Desk consultant.
