How do I install a wireless card? Is there installation help?

Basic instructions for installing a wireless card:

Depending on your card, you may need to install your driver cd first. For more information, please read the instruction manual.

After installation of drivers, make sure the computer is turned OFF. Locate the cardbus slot on your laptop. Gently insert your wireless adapter into the slot. Once the card is securely installed into the cadbus, you may now turn on your computer. Your card should now be recognized by your operation system, and you should be able to get on available wireless networks.

If you are not comfortable installing the wireless adapter on your own, we offer assistance in our office. Te set up an appointment to have us install your card, please call 392-HELP (4357). Laptop appointments are available only between 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.
