Answer: All students are required by the Florida Department of Education to complete the CLAST before reaching junior standing, defined as the completion of 60 semester hours. Students who do not pass the test or its approved alternative by completion of 60 hours cannot enroll for future terms at UF. Junior and senior transfer students who have not passed the test or its approved alternative MUST take the test during their first term of enrollment at UF.

Answer: CLAST will be given in numerous classrooms on campus. Your room assignment will be posted on your CLAST registration page of this web site one week before the test. Go to View Your Subtests and Test Locations. Also your room assignment will be sent to your GatorLink e-mail address one week before the test.

Answer: Score reports will be mailed five weeks after the test to the address you record on the CLAST answer sheet. Scores will also be posted to your ISIS academic record.
Three subtests of the CLAST (English language skills, reading and mathematics) are available as a computer-adaptive test (CAT-CLAST). The essay subtest is not available on computer. The CAT-CLAST costs $30 per testing session. To register for the CAT-CLAST, students must come to 1012 Turlington Hall and complete a petition request. NOTE: It may take up to 24 hours for approval.
