What's Our Mission?

The Reading and Writing Center (RWC) is committed to helping University of Florida students become better writers and readers. We aim to support independent learning and encourage scholarship by fostering writing and reading skills. We provide individual assistance to those wishing to develop their writing, better understand the writing process, and improve reading comprehension and study skills. Students of all levels and disciplines are welcome!

Our Summer hours are M-R from 10:00 - 4:00, & Fridays from 10:00 - 3:00.

We offer students individual, half-hour sessions with one of our experienced grad student writing tutors. We encourage students to call ahead -- our number is 392-6420 -- to make an appointment, but we will also work with walk-ins as we have the time.

Reminder: Please bring hard copies of the papers that you want help with, and make sure they are DOUBLE-SPACED, so that we and you can clearly mark revisions.

Our Summer GRE Workshop -- will take place in Summer B., dates are TBA

New Video: At some point in their academic career, most students face some degree of school-related anxiety or stress. For some strategies to cope with academic stress, watch our video on Stress Management.
