DAN2100 - Dance Appreciation for the 21st Century
Project Summary
Dance Appreciation is a general education course that is also required for dance majors. The course is intended to introduce students to different styles of dance and give them experience with ways to view and critique dance. The course was made available online to accommodate student schedules and difficulties with the availability of physical space.
Features
- The course is housed in E-Learning.
- Lectures and video “labs” are made available to the students through video and audio.
- Students have the option of attending a face-to-face lab in a dance studio, or viewing the virtual lab video and posting a video of him/herself performing the required movement.
- Students use GoogleDocs to create midterm and final projects.
- Students are required to see 3 live dance performances throughout the semester.
