Registration Checklist

 

  1. Get a GatorLink account
    To get your GatorLink username and password, go to the GatorLink Account Creation page. If you have problems visit the UF Computing Help Desk.
  2. Determine which CLAST subtests you are required to take
    Go to the Office of the University Registrar in 222 Criser Hall or download the CLAST Exam Alternative Method handout (PDF) . You need to verify if you have satisfied the CLAST requirement through alternative options, or, if not, which of the 4 subtests you are required to take. The CLAST subtests are essay, English language skills, reading and mathematics. Note: Students seeking admission to the College of Education are required to take and pass all sections of the CLAST or they may take the General Knowledge portion of the Florida Teachers Certification Exam (FTCE-GK).
  3. Register for the CLAST
    Go to Register to schedule your testing appointment. You will need to use your GatorLink name, password, and UF ID. If you have problems, call (352) 392-0371 Ext. 200, or visit the Office of Academic Technology, 1012 Turlington Hall.
  4. Check your e-mail to learn your testing room assignment
    One week before the test an e-mail will be sent to your GatorLink address telling you the location of your test. Your room assignment and the subtests you are scheduled to take will also be posted at View Your Subtests and Test Locations.
  5. Take the exam
    Report to your testing location at 7:45 am on the scheduled date. You will need to bring photo ID, pen, and pencil.
